Olive picking for quality oil.

Some will be fortunate to participate in the yearly harvest.  As years pass, others around the world are forgetting the traditional methods of picking olives good for optimum quality.  In Rava,  traditional methods are still used to pick olives, thus maintaining the highest quality of oil production.  A few extra hands are always welcome.  ( ask for Vjecko Bobic olive oil private reserves )    OLIVE HARVEST IN RAVA VIDEO

Fish farms along the Rava Channel,  between Islands Rava and Dugi Otok.  Learn more about it.   The Italian company was granted permission to operate until the year 2016, despite strong opposition by Rava residents, who will be directly affected by this lucrative business.  It is not clear if environmental studies support the high density of fisheries for the small channel area. The original 50 ton max. fish farm was increased 24 times to over 260 tons.

Time will tell if Tourism and Fisheries can co-exist in Rava.
